Serena Zacchigna

Serena Zacchigna currently serves as an Associate Professor in Molecular Biology at Università degli Studi di Trieste since November 2019. In addition, Serena has been a Group Leader in Cardiovascular Biology at ICGEB since 2007. Previously, Serena worked as a post-doctoral researcher at VIB, KU Leuven from March 2006 to October 2007. Serena holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati di Trieste, obtained between 2001 and 2005, and a degree in Medicine from Università degli Studi di Trieste, earned from 1995 to 2000.
