Kris Barnes, PhD has been working in the field of life sciences since 2012. In 2012, they began their PhD student researcher role at Weill Cornell Medical College, where they characterized the unique method of force transmission which enables collective tissue movement during C. elegans nervous system internalization. Kris also served as Vice President/Director of Case Studies for the Tri I Consulting Club. In 2021, they began working as a Business Analyst at Lifescience Dynamics Limited, providing competitive intelligence consulting based on secondary and primary sources. Currently, they are an Industrial Research Scholar at Ichor Life Sciences, Inc. and the Chief Executive Officer at LentoBio, where they are developing small molecule therapeutics targeting aging damage, with focus in presbyopia.

Kris Barnes received an Advanced High School Diploma from Fayetteville Manlius High School in 2008. Kris then attended State University of New York College at Oswego and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2012. In 2020, Kris Barnes earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
