Edward Spaay

Edward Spaay has a comprehensive work experience in the field of information security and engineering. Edward most recently worked as a Senior Engineer at MissionSquare Retirement since July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for hardening operating systems, guiding admins in the process of POA&M, Risk Matrix, and exception form usage, and applying GOPs.

Prior to that, Edward worked as a Security Consultant at MAD Security from February 2015 to June 2015. Edward also served as a Group Policy Consultant at Softworld, Inc. from March 2014 to January 2015.

Edward has a significant history of working with the Social Security Administration, starting in 2012. Edward held the position of Expert Security Engineer at OBXTek from September 2012 to March 2014, where they created security configuration guides, coordinated meetings, and provided training on new formats. Edward also served as a Cyber Security Specialist at Aligned Development Strategies Incorporated from January 2012 to September 2012, where they supported the Enterprise Vulnerability Management team and generated security report cards.

Edward previously worked as an Expert Security Engineer at OBXTek in December 2011, where they performed similar duties as their later role at the company. Edward began their career as a Network Administrator at MEDEX Assistance Corporation, Inc. from March 1997 to February 1999, where they supported the IT infrastructure and troubleshooted network issues. Edward also worked as a Network Administrator at Dryden Oil Company, Inc. from March 1995 to July 1998, where they maintained the hardware and software configurations of the company and provided technical support to users.

Throughout their work experience, Edward has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of information security, operating systems, networking, and software configurations.

Edward Spaay attended Western High School from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a diploma in Computer Science. Edward then enrolled in Broward College from 1989 to 1991, where they pursued Computer Science but did not obtain a degree.
