Cphr Elizabeth Fingler

Elizabeth Fingler, CPHR, has extensive experience in human resources and management. Starting in 2019, they worked as the Human Resources Director at ICON Creative Studio, leading a team of 7 HR professionals and aligning HR initiatives with company goals. Elizabeth also served as the Employee Relations Manager, overseeing disciplinary actions and resolving employee complaints.

Prior to their role at ICON Creative Studio, Fingler worked as the HR Contracts and Benefits Coordinator, where they designed and implemented a competitive benefits package for 900 staff members. Elizabeth analyzed market trends and maintained compensation and benefits data using an HRIS.

Before entering the HR field, Fingler gained experience as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor at the City of Burnaby from 2013 to 2020. Elizabeth demonstrated strong communication skills, prioritization, and decision-making in high-stress situations.

Elizabeth Fingler, CPHR, has a diverse education history. In 2013, they obtained certifications in CPR-C Level with AED from the Saint Johns Ambulance Service, as well as National Lifeguard - Pool Option from the Lifesaving Society. Later in the same year, they achieved Open Water Certification from PADI.

In 2014, Elizabeth earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. During their studies, they also obtained the BCRPA Aquatic Fitness Leader certification from the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association.

Continuing their education, Elizabeth pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Business and Operations Management at HEC Montréal in 2017-2018. In the same year, they also completed the A1 French language certification from Alliance Française Paris Île-de-France.

Elizabeth then furthered their French language skills in 2018-2019 by obtaining the B2 French degree from Ecole L'Etoile.

In 2019, they completed two certifications related to human resources: "Human Resources: Using Metrics to Drive HR Strategy" and "Onboarding New Hires" from Lynda.com.

Elizabeth Fingler is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Simon Fraser University, starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2022.

Adding to their accomplishments, Elizabeth recently obtained the CPHR Candidature certification from CPHR BC & Yukon in January 2023.
