Nathan Siems, AIA, NCARB

Senior Project Architect at ICON

Nathan Siems, AIA, NCARB, has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Nathan is currently working as a Senior Project Architect at ICON starting from June 2021. Previously, from December 2018 to June 2021, they worked as a Project Architect at GSMArchitects.

Before that, from May 2013 to June 2016, Nathan worked as a Designer and BIM Coordinator at Capstone Mechanical. In this role, they collaborated with an engineering team on MEP design for various commercial projects and coordinated mechanical system design with the structural engineer and architect. Nathan was also responsible for 3D model coordination and fabrication drawings.

Prior to Capstone Mechanical, Nathan served as the Director of Design for the Greta Home & Academy Design/Build Project in Haiti at Samaritan's Purse. From March 2011 to January 2013, they led the design of a multi-purpose orphanage building and master plan, presented design concepts to stakeholders, and selected sustainable materials. Additionally, from November 2010 to March 2011, they worked as a Project Coordinator for the Temporary Shelter Project in Haiti, assessing shelter needs, attending meetings, and managing the production crew.

At EPTDESIGN, Nathan worked as a Project Manager from May 2003 to November 2010. Nathan managed various high-density residential, mixed-use, retail, and park design projects. Nathan also created graphic presentations for client meetings and monitored project staffing and budgets.

Overall, Nathan Siems has demonstrated experience in project management, architectural design, MEP coordination, and humanitarian design projects.

Nathan Siems, AIA, NCARB has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) from Iowa State University. Nathan then went on to earn a Master of Architecture (MArch) from the University of Houston. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Licensed Architect from The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and as a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification (NCARB) from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
