Thao Nguyen

Thao Nguyen has worked in various engineering roles since 2015. Thao started as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at SkoFlo Industries Inc in 2015. In 2016, they worked as an Associate Engineer - Propulsion Systems at Vulcan Inc. - Vulcan Aerospace. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman. In 2020, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines - Center for Space Resources. Currently, they are working as an Engineer at ICON starting in September 2021.

Thao Nguyen's education history began in 2013 when they enrolled at the University of Washington. From 2013 to 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. During the same period, Thao also obtained a second Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Washington.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Thao continued their education at UCLA from 2017 to 2019. During this period, they earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Most recently, Thao attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2020 to 2024. They are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Space Resources.
