Alex Hughes

Alex Hughes is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in tax management and corporate taxation. Currently serving as a Senior Tax Manager at ICON plc since December 2022, Alex previously held the position of EMEA Tax Lead at Kodak Alaris from February to December 2022. Alex's career includes significant roles at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) as Senior Tax Manager, and at Grant Thornton LLP as Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, where also served as a tax secondee in Auckland. Earlier experience includes positions at Deloitte as Corporate Tax Associate and a finance internship at American Express. Alex holds professional designations from The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) as a CTA and is a Chartered Accountant through ICAEW. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham.
