Andrew Garrett

Andrew Garrett has a diverse work experience in the field of statistics and data science. Andrew currently serves as the President of the Royal Statistical Society. Prior to this, they worked in various roles at the Royal Statistical Society from 2003 to 2019.

Andrew also has experience at ICON plc as the EVP Global Scientific Operations, where they were responsible for the strategic vision and operational execution of the company's Global Scientific Operations.

Andrew Garrett has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from the University of Leicester, which they obtained from 1980 to 1983. Andrew then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medical Statistics from Newcastle University, which they completed in 1984. In 1995, they obtained a certification as a Chartered Statistician from the Royal Statistical Society. Later, from 1997 to 2006, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics from The Open University, while studying part-time.
