Denise Smith

Denise Smith, MBA, has extensive experience in project management across various industries. Currently serving as Director of Project Operations at ICON plc since September 2021, Denise is leading the largest multi-year in-vitro medical device clinical research trial in the company's history. Prior to this role, Denise worked at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. from March 2011 to September 2021 as Senior Project Manager II, overseeing large-scale projects in the Vision Care Business Unit with an annual budget exceeding $40 million. Denise began her career at Kimberly-Clark as a Research Scientist, where contributions included co-managing a multi-year outsourcing project that achieved substantial cost savings. Denise holds a BS in Textile Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Kennesaw State University, complemented by additional education from PMCentersUSA and the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business.
