Johan du Toit

Johan Du Toit has extensive experience in the field of medical and scientific affairs. Johan is currently the Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs at ICON Biotech, where they oversee a team of around 85 physicians and support staff specializing in various therapeutic areas. Prior to this, Johan served as the Executive Medical Director at PRA Health Sciences, where they led a group of board-certified physicians and provided clinical development services across different phases of drug development. Johan also held positions as the Senior Medical Director and Medical Director at PRA Health Sciences. Before joining PRA Health Sciences, Johan worked as the Director of Scientific Affairs at PAREXEL and as a Medical Director at PAREXEL International.

Johan Du Toit obtained their MBChB MMed (Internal Med) degree in Internal Medicine from Stellenbosch University, where they studied from 1973 to 1986. Johan later pursued a course in Pharmaceutical Medicine and received certification from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) from 2012 to 2014. In addition, they completed a course in Human Pharmacology at King's College London from 2008 to 2010 and obtained a CPI degree in Clinical Pharmacology from the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research in 2008.
