Peter Hammonds

Peter Hammonds is a seasoned medical writer with extensive experience in the clinical research field. Currently serving as a Principal Medical Writer at ICON plc since January 2021, Peter previously held similar roles at PRA Health Sciences and Premier Research, as well as owning Pendragon Clinical Research Consultants LLC. Peter's career includes significant positions such as Associate Director at Chiltern International and Clinical Research Scientist at Cato Research, complemented by a strong foundation in research as a Senior Research Scientist at Glaxo and a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Oxford, where diabetes research was a focus. Peter earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Aston University, completing studies in 1984.
