Joan Busquets Barenys

Joan Busquets Barenys has extensive work experience in the financial sector. Joan began their career in 1998 as CFO and HHRR Director at SSL Healthcare Brands (Durex). In 2001, they moved to ViaCarla Networks, S.A. as CFO and HHRR Manager. In 2002, they founded and became the Owner of Costa Brava Divers. In 2005, they joined Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager. In 2009, they were Finance Director and Director Financiero at Alpiq Energía. In 2012, they became a Consultant at TACTIO. From 2013 to 2019, they worked as Director Financiero Interino, Consultor de Gestión Financiera y Estrategia at Consultor Independiente. From 2019 to 2021, they were CFO at Finanbest. Currently, they are CFO at both Shipa Freight and iContainers.

Joan Busquets Barenys received a Licenciado in Econom\u00eda (Empresa-Finanzas) from the Universitat de Barcelona between 1981 and 1988. In 1997, they obtained a Strategic Marketing degree from the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. In 1999, they completed an Executive Program at Hult Ashridge. In 2011, they completed a Focoused Program in Working Capital and Cash Management at IESE Business School. Additionally, they obtained an Advanced Trimix Diver (up to 330 fsw/ 100 msw) certification from SDI TDI ERDI in April 2007, and a Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor (M.S.D.T.) certification from PADI in July 2005.
