Yasmine Praz Dessimoz

Yasmine Praz Dessimoz currently serves as the Director of Operations at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) since September 2024. Previously, Yasmine held the position of Directrice de l'action sociale at Hospice général in Geneva from March 2016 to September 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing a substantial departmental budget and implementing significant institutional strategies for social welfare. Yasmine's extensive experience with the ICRC spans various leadership roles, including Head of Operations North and West Africa, where management of 13 delegations and a budget exceeding 150 million CHF was crucial. Yasmine’s background also includes expertise in crisis management, humanitarian response, and strategic operations in high-stakes environments, with notable assignments in conflict regions such as Darfur and Iraq. Yasmine holds an Executive Master in International Negotiation and Policy Making from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Managerial Economics from HEC Lausanne.
