Mats Nordström has a diverse work experience covering various roles in software engineering and hardware development.
Mats started their career at Saab Microwave Systems in 2004, working as a Hardware Assembler. Mats then moved on to become a Component Engineer in 2007, where they held technical responsibility for Embedded System Hardware in radar systems.
In 2009, Mats joined Volvo Car Group as a Software Engineer, where they worked on multiple projects, including developing an AUTOSAR 4.0 compliant prototype hardware control ECU and working on the 2nd generation C30 Electric, focusing on new Power Train and Controller platforms.
In 2015, they joined FIXTURLASER Acoem Group as a Software Engineer Team Lead, leading a team developing a new line of laser-based machine alignment equipment. Mats'sresponsibilities included developing GUI applications and implementing a new communication architecture for bluetooth-based laser sensors.
From 2007 to 2018, Mats worked at Consat Engineering AB as an Embedded Design Engineer, specializing in developing embedded systems.
Mats joined ALTEN Sweden in 2019, where they worked as a Software Engineer Team Lead, leading a team in a project for developing health-oriented IoT products. Mats was responsible for software development for MCUs specialized for measurement performance and Bluetooth communication.
In 2019, they also started working at WirelessCar as a Software Engineer, developing backend services for cloud-connected vehicles based on the AWS Serverless platform. Mats utilized a DevSecOps methodology and mainly developed services in Java, Python, and Go.
Currently, Mats is working at Telia as a Software Engineer, where they are involved in full-stack software development for online B2B services. Mats develops backend services using Spring Boot and frontend services using JavaScript and Vue.js. The software is developed and maintained using DevOps methodologies.
Mats Nordström completed their M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, where they studied from 2001 to 2007.
