Jim Shults

Jim Shults is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in product design and development. Currently serving as Chief Engineer and Director of R&D at ICU Medical since March 2003, Jim Shults leads the System of Systems team, overseeing system engineering, test engineering, and clinical workflows, while successfully guiding the product design of LifeCare PCA and Symbiq products through FDA 510K clearance. Prior to this role, Jim Shults operated as a consultant at Shults Technology, providing electrical engineering services and managing business operations. Additionally, between June 1991 and April 1999, Jim Shults was the Hardware Manager at Elscint MR, Inc., where responsibilities included managing a diverse team of engineers and ensuring technical and project management excellence. Jim Shults holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, completed in 1991.
