Josh Hersh has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Josh started their career in politics, working as the Communications Director for Lynn Jenkins for Congress in 2008 and the Chief Writer for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009. In these roles, they were responsible for managing press operations, preparing candidates for debates, and developing relationships with representatives.

After their political career, Josh transitioned into the business world, starting their own online marketing consulting firm called ChatterBuild Strategies, LLC. As the Founder, Online Marketing Strategist, and Coach, they gained experience in running a business, implementing effective marketing strategies, and coaching clients. Josh emphasized the importance of understanding customers, constant communication, and experimentation.

Josh then joined Whole Foods Market as a Wine Buyer and Associate, where they leveraged data to make buying decisions and prioritize tasks while fostering a learning atmosphere within the team.

In 2016, Josh joined Meetup as the Community Support Team Lead and Content Lead. There, they provided customer support, honed their project management and relationship management skills, and led a team of 9 people.

Josh then transitioned to Squarespace in 2018, where they initially worked as a Senior Customer Operations Advisor. In this role, they refined their customer support skills, coached new advisors, and became an expert in troubleshooting customer issues. Later, they became a Technical Writer, focusing on refining their content strategy, copywriting, and editing skills, with a particular emphasis on translating technical features into user-friendly documentation.

Finally, in 2022, Josh joined ID.me as a Senior Content Writer, leading the audit and streamlining of their knowledge base, improving the findability and usability of their help content.

Throughout their career, Josh has demonstrated adaptability, leadership, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Josh Hersh received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Political Communication & Rhetoric from Kansas State University. Josh attended Kansas State University from 2004 to 2008.

In 2013, they obtained a Life Coaching certification from the International Coach Academy, specializing in personal and professional coaching. Their certification was completed in 2015.

In 2020, Josh acquired a Product Marketing Core Certificate from the Product Marketing Alliance.

Additionally, Josh has obtained various certifications in the field of user experience design and human resources. In 2019, they received certifications in Interaction Design Foundations, Figma for UX Design, Planning a Career in User Experience, UX Design: 1 Overview, UX Design: 2 Analyzing User Data, UX Design: 3 Creating Personas, and UX Foundations: Prototyping, all from LinkedIn.
