Katrine Ellersgaard Nielsen

Katrine Ellersgaard Nielsen is a highly experienced professional in economics and policy, currently serving as Politisk direktør at IDA since September 2025. Previously, Katrine held positions such as Sagkyndigt medlem at Teleklagenævnet and Branchedirektør at DI - Dansk Industri. From December 2018 to September 2020, important contributions were made as Chef for analyse og samfundsøkonomi in Dansk Erhverv, while also working as an independent consultant at Ellersgaard Analyse. Katrine has extensive expertise as a Senior Director at Axcelfuture and as a Seniorkonsulent at Incentive DK. Earlier roles included Economist at Copenhagen Economics and various positions at IBM Global Business Services, including Consultant in Strategy & Transformation. Katrine holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and has furthered studies at The London School of Economics.
