Leontien Ruttenberg

Leontien Ruttenberg has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Starting in 1990 at Merck, they held several positions in medical, marketing, and business development until 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a Consul for Industrial Affairs and Area Manager in New England for the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency. Following that, they worked as a Portfolio & Market Access Manager consultant at Agendia Inc. from 2006 to 2007 and as an MSF - Diagnostic Network consultant at Artsen zonder Grenzen Nederland in 2008. In 2009, they became Manager of European Business Development at BG Medicine until 2011 when they joined IDA Foundation as the Director of Sales & Marketing. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as the Managing Director of ARQ International, a humanitarian organization focused on mental health care. In 2018, they joined IMRES B.V. as the Head of Sales, then became the Commercial Director in 2019 and ultimately served as the Managing Director from 2020 to 2021. They then joined Aflatoun International in 2022 as the Director of Monitoring & Evaluation, Research and Learning. Currently, they hold the position of Sales Director at IDA Foundation.
