Donal Travers

Donal Travers has extensive work experience in various roles related to technology, business development, and investment strategy. Donal is currently working at IDA Ireland as the Head of Technology, Consumer, and Business Services. Prior to this, they held positions such as Head of Engineering Technology and Green Economy Investments, Head of Enterprise Technology, Manager of Global Business Services Portfolio, and Vice President of Multinational Technology Company Portfolio at IDA Ireland. In these roles, they advised and assisted global services companies, consultancies, and technology multinationals in locating and expanding their operations in Ireland. Donal also played a key role in evaluating investment strategies and managing relationships with strategic clients. Before joining IDA Ireland, Donal Travers worked as an Assistant Brands Manager at Batchelors Limited.

Donal Travers began their education at Salesian College, where they completed their secondary or high school education from 1986 to 1991. Donal then attended Dublin City University from 1991 to 1995, graduating with a degree in BBS with a focus on Marketing & Finance. Travers furthered their education by obtaining a Certificate in Science (Eq.) from the University of Limerick between 2002 and 2004. Most recently, in 2019, they attended Harvard Business School for a Leadership Development program, specializing in Business Administration, Management, and Operations.
