Debra Leithauser

Debra Leithauser is currently the VP of Corporate Services and Communications at Idaho Power. Debra has held this position since December of 2017. Prior to that, they were the Director of Corporate Communications at Idaho Power from November 2015 to December 2017. In this role, they led external, internal, and visual communications teams, as well as marketing.

Before their time at Idaho Power, Leithauser was the President and Publisher of the Idaho Statesman from November 2015 to December 2017. In this role, they oversaw advertising, marketing, news, finance, and distribution for the largest newspaper in Idaho. Debra also managed all aspects of operational cash flow and set company strategy to achieve targets.

Leithauser is an excellent public speaker who has inspired and engaged with audiences across their career. Debra is also trained in design thinking from experts at Stanford and has led innovation workshops for McClatchy across its properties. In addition to their professional accomplishments, Leithauser has also served on several local boards, including United Way, Boise Chamber, and Idaho Shakespeare Festival.

Debra Leithauser has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida and a Diploma from Winter Park High School.
