Marcos B. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Marcos began their career as a System Analyst at Elebra S.A in 1987 and worked there until 1990. Marcos then joined Citi, where they held various roles, including AVP, VP, and Audit Director. Marcos'sresponsibilities included system administration, project management, and overseeing technology in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Mexico. Marcos later joined People's United Bank, N.A. in 2013 and served as the Audit FVP, Head of Technology & Operations, and later as the Audit SVP, Chief Internal Auditor. In 2022, they joined City National Bank as the SVP, Head of IT Risk Management before moving on to their current role at IDB Bank as the SVP, Head of Operational Risk in 2023.
Marcos B. received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 1988. Marcos then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware between 1997 and 1999. In 2016, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and The Wharton School, where they completed the Wharton Leadership Program. Marcos B. also holds multiple certifications, including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
