Gabriela Mera is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment and financial institutions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently serving as the Director of the Andean Region in the Financial Institutions Sector at IDB Invest since January 2016, Gabriela Mera leads the structuring of financial products and conducts business development for private sector projects. Prior roles at the Inter-American Development Bank include Senior Associate Investment Officer and Associate Investment Officer, where Gabriela Mera was instrumental in structuring loans and risk-sharing facilities to support private sector business models. With a Master of Business Administration in Finance from The Johns Hopkins University and a CPA designation, Gabriela Mera combines strong academic credentials with a robust professional background, including positions as a Financial Consultant and Tax Analyst earlier in career development.
