Javier García Gómez is a seasoned professional in climate and sustainable finance, currently serving as a Climate Finance Investment Management Officer at IDB Invest since September 2015. With prior experience as a Sustainable Infrastructure Specialist at the World Bank Group and a Senior Analyst at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain, Javier has expertly facilitated private climate financing and promoted environmentally sustainable infrastructure initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Javier's extensive background includes roles in international business development and investment advisory, as well as significant academic achievements, including a PhD in Development Economics and a Corporate Sustainability Certificate from New York University.
