María Isabel Larenas

María Isabel Larenas is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in international development and economic research. Currently serving as Senior Counselor and Temporary Alternate Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank and IDB Invest, respectively, María Isabel has also been a member of the FOMIN Donors Committee at IDB Lab since September 2018. Prior to these roles, María Isabel worked as a Research Economist at The World Bank and in various consultancy positions, including labor economics for the National Institutes of Health. An educator as well, María Isabel has lectured at the University of Chile. María Isabel holds a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, along with a Master's and Bachelor's in Economics from Universidad de Chile.
