Orlando Ferreira has extensive work experience in the finance and strategy sector. Orlando served as the Chief Financial Officer at IDB Invest from March 2021, and prior to that, they were the Chief Strategy Officer from January 2016. Before joining IDB Invest, they worked at Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) as the Chief Operating Officer from May 2013 to December 2015. Orlando also held positions such as Chief, Finance and Strategic Planning Division from January 2012 to April 2013, and Chief, Development and Corporate Strategy from October 2006 to April 2012. Prior to their time at IIC, Orlando Ferreira served in various roles at The World Bank, including ETC, Financial Management LAC, where they worked on accounting and auditing reports in multiple countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Orlando also served as a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Board's Committee at Inter American Development Bank from July 1999 to September 2005, where they were responsible for evaluating policies, budgets, auditing, programming, and human resources.
Orlando Ferreira obtained a Graduate Diploma in Economics and Business from Universidad de Santiago de Chile between 1997 and 1998. Orlando then pursued an MS in Finance at The George Washington University School of Business, specializing in Finance, from 2000 to 2002.
