Oscar Farfan Mba

Oscar Farfan, MBA, MIDP, serves as the Lead Investment Officer for Strategy at IDB Lab since August 2023, where responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives, developing capital deployment strategies, and enhancing public-private synergies within the Latin America and Caribbean region. With extensive experience at the Inter-American Development Bank since 2008, Oscar has held various roles including Senior Investment Officer, focusing on mobilizing private funding for impact investments, and Investment Officer, where innovative financial instruments and venture capital transactions were structured. Earlier experiences include roles at the Inter-American Investment Corporation, IFC, International Trade Centre, and the National Board of Development Funds, showcasing a strong background in investment, market analysis, and policy evaluation. Oscar holds a Master's in International Development Policy from Duke University, an MBA from the University of Birmingham, and a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Boliviana.
