Mahisa Dennis

Mahisa Dennis, MBA, MA, is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and instructional leadership. Currently serving as a Founding Teacher and Course Leader at IDEA Public Schools since July 2021, Mahisa utilizes data to enhance student outcomes and leads professional development initiatives. With extensive experience as an Adjunct English Instructor at Hillsborough Community College and Pasco-Hernando State College, Mahisa specializes in designing engaging online courses and providing effective feedback to students. Previous roles include Educational Interventionist at Phalen Leadership Academies, special education positions within various school districts, and a Barista Trainer at Starbucks, where Mahisa developed training programs to boost service excellence. Mahisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from the University of South Florida, a Master of Arts in English Education from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Argosy University.
