Sandra Huerta

Sandra Huerta currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at IDEA Public Schools, where leadership in instructional vision includes coaching teachers and managing accelerated and bilingual programs to enhance student performance. Formerly an Acting Principal, Sandra also has experience as an AP Chemistry Teacher/Content Leader, demonstrating a strong record of student success in advanced placement courses. Previous roles include Engineering Graduate Student Consultant at the Industrial Assessment Center, where emphasis was placed on energy audits, and multiple research assistant positions focused on environmental and medicinal chemistry at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Sandra holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and Cosmetic Sciences from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
