Carol Gilchrist

Carol Gilchrist is an experienced operations leader with extensive expertise in healthcare and community services. Currently serving as the Director of Operations and Accountable Emergency Officer at Local Care Direct since October 2022, Carol oversees the operational delivery of NHS Healthcare services across Yorkshire, Humber, and the North East. Prior to this role, Carol spent 25 years at Kirklees Council in various leadership positions, including Head of Local Integrated Partnerships and Head of Communities, focusing on community safety, anti-social behavior, and strategic partnerships. Carol holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Education and Public Service and a Bachelor's degree in Community Education from the University of Huddersfield.
