Michael Vattuone

Michael Vattuone is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer currently at Idealist since November 2018, with a diverse background in software development that includes roles at Condé Nast as a Software Engineer II and Frontend Engineer, and as a Front-End Developer and Co-Founder at Float. Michael co-founded Float, a non-partisan organization recognized in the MIT Climate Colab competition, and has contributed to web development projects for urban planners at BlinkTag. Prior freelance experience from 2010 to 2016 involved providing technology solutions for notable clients such as Stanford and UCSF. Additional roles include web development for various non-profit organizations at Citizen Engagement Laboratory and user experience research at Bolt Peters. Michael holds a BA in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and participated in the Pembroke-King's Programme at the University of Cambridge.
