Nicole Loher

Sustainability & ESG Content Strategist & Writer at Ideas On Purpose

Nicole is a writer, teacher, and strategist who is interested in helping brands make a positive impact. She sits at the intersection of insights, strategy and emerging technology to help tell stories that advance complex communications goals. Her work has received multiple awards, has been recognized in press, and is featured in the Smithsonian. At IOP she is a key member of the content & strategy team, crafting messages, reporting, and content for clients.

Nicole moved to New York in 2010 to pursue a strategy career within luxury fashion and beauty houses. After seven years working in Digital Strategy and Content with stints at NARS, Christian Louboutin, Microsoft and Hypergiant, she felt the desire to use her strategy experience and passion for writing to help brands for good. With that, she went back to school and got her Master’s in Climate Science from Columbia University’s Climate School. Before joining IOP, she focused her energy on working with stealth climate companies on their go-to-market strategies, led content and climate communications at Aether Diamonds, and helped Meta reshape their sustainability website, social media and annual report content.
