Jacqueline Sharkey has diverse experience in operations, finance, and program management. Jacqueline is currently serving as the Director of Operations at ideas42. Prior to this, they worked at The Brookings Institution for over a decade as the Director of Finance and Operations for the Global Economy and Development Program. In this role, they managed a $15M program with over 120 staff and affiliates, oversaw the program budget, and mentored a team of finance and operations professionals.
Before their tenure at The Brookings Institution, Jacqueline worked as a Controller at Groom Law Group, Chartered, where they developed accounting policies, oversaw payroll and benefits, and created budget and financial statements. Jacqueline started their career at The World Bank as a Program Assistant for the Nile Basin Initiative, providing operations support and developing performance-based documentation. Prior to that, they served as a Small Enterprise Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Overall, Jacqueline Sharkey has demonstrated their expertise in operations, finance, and program management throughout their career.
Jacqueline Sharkey holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Business & International Relations from Eckerd College, which was completed by 1997.
