Catalin Mircea Dumitrescu

Catalin Mircea Dumitrescu has a diverse work experience starting from 2006. Catalin Mircea began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest. Later, they worked as a Software Developer at Thales Rail Signaling Solutions. Catalin Mircea then moved on to the Ministry of National Defence, where they served as a Project Manager and Embedded Software Engineer. During this time, they worked on designing and developing mission-critical systems and data warehouse applications. At Thales, they held multiple roles including Technical Project Manager, Software Architect, and Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification Manager. Catalin Mircea was responsible for market research, software design strategy, and prototype development. Catalin Mircea also contributed to cost-saving initiatives and promoted Model-Driven Software Engineering. Catalin Mircea Dumitrescu joined Systematic as a Project Manager, overseeing multi-site and multi-cultural teams. Catalin Mircea then worked at HARMAN International as a Software Architect, focusing on developing software design strategy and architecture for connected car telematics systems. Currently, they hold the position of Technical Team Lead & People Manager at IDEMIA and is an Assistant Professor at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.

Catalin Mircea Dumitrescu, Ph.D. received their Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, where they studied from 2010 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's Degree in Automation Engineer Technology from the same university, completing their studies from 2003 to 2008. Catalin Mircea had their high school education at Mihail Sadoveanu Theoretical High School from 1999 to 2003, where they focused on Intensive Informatics.
