Joel Swift

Joel Swift has over 27 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Joel has worked as a Testing Coordinator at Creative Labs, Inc. from 1993 to 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they served as a Configuration Management and Quality Assurance Lead at BindView Corporation. At Symantec, they worked as an IT Applications and Web Services Manager from 2001 to 2006, where they administered various computer systems and managed corporate websites. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Contract Developer at Saint Arnold Brewing Company and LTCG. Joel then joined Valerent as a Senior Consultant from 2007 to 2008. From 2008 to 2016, Joel worked as an IT Director at SmartVault Corporation, where they built a SaaS document management platform and gained expertise in server administration and network configuration. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at GS Marketing as the Director of DevOps, where they played a significant role in architecting the AWS infrastructure and managing technical operations. Currently, Joel is working as the Director of DevOps at Identity Automation since 2020.

Joel Swift completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston between 2001 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Oklahoma State University from 1993 to 1999, studying Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Joel'seducation journey started at Del City High School, where they attended from 1989 to 1992. In terms of additional certifications, Joel obtained the following: Amazon Web Services SysOps Administrator - Associate and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019 and October 2019 respectively. Joel also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in October 2019.
