Andrea Ranzoni

Business Unit Director, Connected Care at IDE Group

Andrea Ranzoni has a strong background in biotechnology and medical technologies. Andrea is currently working as the Business Unit Director, Connected Care at IDE Group, where they are responsible for new business development and the creation of commercialization strategies. Prior to this, they were the Head of Commercialization at Intelligent Bio Solutions (now Intelligent BioSolutions) from 2019 to 2020, where they devised actionable commercialization strategies for biotechnology assets. From 2015 to 2019, Andrea served as the Head of Bioengineering at Ellume Ltd, overseeing the development of novel IVDs and medical devices. Andrea also has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Queensland and as a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Philips Research. Andrea holds a Ph.D. in rotational actuation of magnetic nanoparticle clusters for solution-based biosensing.

Andrea Ranzoni holds a Ph.D in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Systems Science and Theory from Alta Scuola Politecnica in 2007, and an MSc in Physical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in the same year. Andrea also completed a BSc in Physical Engineering from Polytechnic of Milan. There is incomplete information about their earlier education, including a mention of a Diploma from High Polytechnic School at Polytechnic of Milan & Turin, and a possible study in Electronic Engineering at Polytechnic of Turin.
