Catalin Dragu

Catalin Dragu has extensive work experience in the field of data science and engineering. Catalin started their career in 2002 as a Senior Technical Engineer at BRD Groupe Societe Generale, where they worked for ten years. In 2012, they joined Transiris Corporation as an IT Analyst and later became the Director of Engineering, holding this position until 2018. In 2018, Catalin became a Founding Member at San Diego Tech Hub. Later the same year, they joined Jenny Craig as the Manager of Data Science and Engineering, a position they held until May 2023. Currently, Catalin works as a Senior Big Data Engineer at iDerive, where they started in March 2023.

Catalin Dragu pursued higher education starting in 1998 at the University of Bucharest, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 2002. Catalin then proceeded to The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, where they pursued a Master's degree in eBusiness from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Catalin also earned various certifications. They obtained the "Salesforce Certified Administrator" certification from Salesforce in May 2016. In 2012, Catalin obtained the "IBM Unica Enterprise Campaign Technical Professional v1" certification from IBM. Furthermore, in January 2018, Catalin achieved the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" certification from Amazon Web Services.
