Joe Kent Bsc

Joe Kent has extensive work experience in the field of compliance and ethics within the pharmaceutical industry. Joe is currently serving as the Vice President and Group Compliance Officer at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, Joe worked at Sandoz where they held various roles including Head of Ethics, Risk and Compliance Global Functions and Global Compliance Officer (Biopharma) from December 2018 to February 2023.

Before joining Sandoz, Joe worked as a Consultant for an innovative Consulting House, providing compliance solutions to Pharma Compliance Teams and their third parties. Joe was involved in activities such as monitoring, investigations, SOP authoring/review, training, and advisory services. Joe worked in this role from July 2015 to November 2018.

Prior to their consultancy work, Joe served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Europe and Canada from April 2014 to June 2015, and as the Director of Compliance in the same regions from April 2013 to April 2014. Joe also worked as the Global Healthcare Compliance Manager at Roche from October 2009 to March 2013 and as the Associate Director of Compliance and Ethics (EMEA) at ConvaTec in 2009.

Joe's early career includes a role as the Compliance Manager (UK & Ireland) at Merck Serono from August 2006 to April 2009. Joe holds a BSc (Hons) degree along with an MBA.

Joe Kent earned a BSc (Hons) and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Surrey, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. Joe also received training in Designing an Effective Compliance Program & Managing & Enhancing the Effective Compliance Program at INSEAD. Additionally, they completed the U.S. Healthcare Compliance Certification Program at Seton Hall University School of Law.
