Thomas Portmann currently serves as Senior Director and Senior Group Leader in CNS Biology at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a position held since June 2021. Prior to this role, Portmann was the Director of Biological Discovery at Boost Neuroscience, Inc. for a brief period in early 2021. Additional experience includes consulting for NeuCyte, where Portmann led a research collaboration with the Seaver Autism Center, and serving as the Director and Associate Director of Research at ForSight Labs, LLC, focusing on the establishment of R&D operations. From 2013 to 2018, Portmann was the Director of Neurobiology and Transcriptomics at Circuit Therapeutics, overseeing CNS drug target discovery and leading efforts in single-cell RNA sequencing. Early career experience includes positions as Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 2008 to 2013.
