Anthony Burgess

Anthony Burgess has an extensive work experience in project management and leadership roles. Anthony started their career in 1984 as an Engineering Apprentice and progressed to roles such as QC Inspector and Engineering Craftsman. In 1994, they became an Assistant Project Manager at BAE Systems, where they managed small-scale development programs and proofing trials. From 1997 to 2002, Burgess worked as a Project Manager, Operations Manager, and later as an Operations Manager at BAE Systems, managing production operations, client service contracts, and staff recruitment. Anthony then joined Roxel UK as a Senior Project Manager and later became a Senior Project Manager for UK and French Joint Programs. In 2009, Burgess became the Head of Project Management at Vix Technology, responsible for delivering software and hardware system integration projects globally. Anthony later served as the International Project Manager and Head of Projects at Idox Transport. In 2018, they joined Idox plc as the Regional Manager and is currently the Head of Product and Strategy - Transport.

Anthony Burgess has a diverse education history. Anthony started attending Haybridge High School in 1981 and completed their studies there in 1984. During this time, they focused on subjects such as engineering, maths, and physics.

After high school, Burgess enrolled at Kidderminster Technical College from 1984 to 1987. Anthony pursued a BTEC ONC in Production Engineering and further expanded their knowledge in the field of engineering.

From 1987 to 1989, Burgess attended Worcester Technical College, where they pursued a BTEC HNC in Production/Mechanical Engineering. This program allowed him to specialize in production and mechanical engineering.

In 1997, Burgess began studying at the University of Warwick, where they pursued a diploma in Engineering Business Management. Anthony completed this program in 1999, gaining expertise in the management aspect of engineering businesses.

Lastly, in 2012, Burgess attended QA Learning College in Birmingham for a short period to obtain an APMG PRINCE2 certification in Project Management, further expanding their skills in this area.
