Michelle Amaya-Torres

Michelle Amaya-Torres is a seasoned language specialist and educator with extensive experience in various instructional roles. Currently serving as a Nurse Re-Entry Program Language Coach/Instructor at RRC Polytech since September 2024, Michelle has also been a Language Specialist at IDP Education Ltd since October 2013. Additional roles include Canadian Casper rater for Acuity Insights and substitute instructor at the University of Manitoba. With a background in language assessment and instruction, Michelle has collaborated with multiple educational institutions, including a significant tenure as an EAL Specialist at Red River College and as an online instructor for internationally-educated nurses at the Manitoba Nurses Union. Michelle's academic credentials include studies at York University, the University of Manitoba, and RRC Polytech.
