Evgeny Smirnov

Evgeny Smirnov is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at ID R&D since January 2023, focused on R&D in Deep Learning for Computer Vision. With extensive experience dating back to 2011, Evgeny has held multiple roles including Senior Researcher and Researcher at STC group, where research centered on Deep Learning for Computer Vision. Previous positions include Research Engineer at Kuznech Inc., Summer Research Intern at Microsoft Research, and roles at Samsung R&D Institute Russia, contributing to advanced projects in object detection and large-scale object recognition. Evgeny possesses a solid educational background with a Graduate Student (PhD) studying Machine Learning at Saint Petersburg State University and an Engineer’s degree with distinction in Information Systems and Technology from ITMO University.
