James Shao

James Shao has a significant work experience in the field of biostatistics. James has held various positions in different companies over the years. James started their career at Eli Lilly and Company as an Assistant Senior Statistician in 2000 and worked there until 2003. James then worked at Antigenics as a Senior Biostatistician from 2003 to 2004 and as a Principal Biostatistician from 2004 to 2005. James later joined Synta Pharmaceuticals as a Principal Biostatistician from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, James joined Amgen as a Senior Manager of Biostatistics and stayed there until 2009. James then worked at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director of Biostatistics from 2009 to 2012 and as a Director of Biostatistics from 2012 to 2014. James also had a role as a Director of Biostatistics at Sarepta Therapeutics from 2014 to 2016. James returned to Ironwood Pharmaceuticals as a Director of Biostatistics from 2017 to 2019. From 2019 to 2021, James worked at Constellation Pharmaceuticals, first as a Senior Director of Biostatistics and then as an Executive Director of Biostatistics. James then moved to Lyra Therapeutics as a Vice President of Biostatistics from September 2021 to December 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Biostatistics at IDRx, starting in December 2022.

James Shao completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Fudan University from 1987 to 1991. Afterward, they pursued their Master of Applied Statistics degree in Applied Statistics from Louisiana State University, studying between 1992 and 1994.
