Gerald Tan

Gerald is currently Managing Director & EVP responsible for Group SCP (Buying & Supply Chain) Services.

Gerald joined the idsMED Group with a solid 30+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management. He was the CEO of Pan Asia Logistics (PAL) International Pte. Ltd., the global international freight-forwarding and logistics arm of PAL Group, and was responsible for developing the company’s growth and expansion plans, successfully restructuring, professionalizing, and improving the company’s performance.

Prior to PAL, Gerald spent over 15 years working in Hong Kong and China in the automotive industry and held various senior positions with Daimler Chrysler and Lei Shing Hong. His responsibilities and exposure covered retail and distribution, regulatory, strategic development, logistics, and dealer management. Before moving to Hong Kong, he was the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager of Mercedes-Benz covering aftermarket-related business for the Philippines and Indo-China. Gerald started his career with Olivetti Singapore as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to Logistics Manager before he joined Cycle & Carriage Industries to further pursue his career in logistics and supply chain management. Gerald holds a Bachelor of Engineering.
