Abdul Majeed Buriro is an Electronic Engineer currently employed at M. Yasin Ibico since August 2023, while also serving as an intern at Pakistan International Airlines since June 2022. Additionally, Abdul Majeed is involved in supply chain management at ZIMCO International Corporation since March 2022, where responsibilities include managing the flow of goods and services. As a Student Representative for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society since March 2019, Abdul Majeed has actively engaged in promotional activities and leadership. Previous experience includes participating as a Student Trainee for a program funded by the US Embassy in Islamabad from August 2021 to March 2022, and serving as a Campus Ambassador for InternMind from October 2019 to November 2021. Abdul Majeed holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, completed in 2022, and has a background in Pre-Engineering and Computer Science from Warah higher secondary school and Warah high school.

Focus is on both applied and theoretical issues in robotics and automation. Robotics is here defined to include intelligent machines and systems; whereas automation includes the use of automated methods in various applications to improve performance and productivity. The society sponsors a number of conferences, including the annual International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
