Kyujin Cho

VP, Technical Activities at IEEE Robotics and Automation Society

Kyujin Cho is a prominent academic and professional in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University since September 2008. Cho has held several significant positions within the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, including General Chair of ICRA 2027 and Vice President of the Technical Activities Board, and has actively participated in the Management Committee of the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. In addition to academic roles, Cho is the Director of the Soft Robotics Research Center and served as a Board Member at Kakao Corp from March 2017 to March 2023. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and both a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University. Cho's experience also includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University in the Microrobotics Lab.
