Pamathi Gunaratne is a Software Engineer at IFS since July 2022, having previously served as a Software Engineer Intern. Active in IEEE Women in Engineering since September 2020, Pamathi held leadership roles including Vice-Chair and Chair at IEEE KDU. Involvement with IEEE Sri Lanka Section as a Student Member began in August 2020. As part of SLSAC, Pamathi is the Vice Chair of the Awards and Recognition Sub-Committee and serves as the Program Lead for the Technical Activities Sub-Committee. Contributions to the IEEE Techno Meetup Sri Lanka and the IEEE Student Branch at Kotelawala Defence University include roles as Program and Education Team Member. Pamathi is pursuing a Master of Computer Science at the University of Colombo School of Computing, expected to complete in February 2026, following a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.

Formally introduced in Sri Lanka on the 14th of November 2003, IEEE Sri Lanka Section (member of IEEE Region 10) is growing and expanding at an accelerated pace since then, achieving immense success. The vibrant community of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section comprises of University academic staff members, industry professionals and university students across the country. Sri Lanka section has been established to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity and for the advancement of technical professionalism. Our aim is to be the platform of the global technical community for the aspiring tech professionals of tomorrow.
