Rami Ghannam is a Professor of Electronics at the University of Glasgow, where responsibilities include serving as the Convenor of Postgraduate Studies for Engineering and leading the Innovation in Engineering Education (IEE) Unit. Rami's focus is on creating engaging learning environments that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving. With a rich background in engineering education and consultancy, Rami has held roles such as Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, and consulted on solar energy projects at Shaker Consultancy Group. Notably, Rami attracted significant funding for postgraduate programs in solar energy systems and has contributed to advancements in photovoltaic technologies through research and patents during time served at IBM and the American University in Cairo. Rami's educational background includes a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cambridge and advanced degrees from Imperial College London. Currently, Rami is also an external examiner for several institutions and serves as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Systems Council.
