Dr. Sunil Kumar Vuppala

Dr. Sunil Kumar Vuppala is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as the Director of the Global Artificial Intelligence Accelerator (GAIA) at Ericsson since June 2019. Dr. Vuppala holds multiple leadership roles, including Co-chair of Industry Relations within the IEEE CS Bangalore section and has been an adjunct faculty member teaching AI-related subjects at various prestigious institutes in India and the US. Prior experience includes positions as Principal Scientist at Philips, where contributions were made to research and innovation, and extensive roles at Infosys focusing on AI platforms and smart grid technologies. Dr. Vuppala earned a PhD in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore and holds multiple degrees including an M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Master of Business Law from the National Law School of India University.
