Emilia Silvas

Guest Editor (lead) For Transactions On Control Systems Technology at IEEE

Emilia Silvas is currently the Guest Editor (Lead) for Transactions on Control Systems Technology at IEEE, focusing on a Special Issue on Intelligent Decision Making, Motion Planning, and Control of Automated Vehicles. Since January 2016, Emilia has been serving as the Cluster Manager for Smart Vehicles at TNO, overseeing strategy, business development, and financial performance across multiple programs. Emilia holds experience in various roles at TU/e, including Assistant Professor and Team Lead for Control and World Modeling. Prior to that, Emilia was a Kwartiermaker for Mobility, Transport, and Logistics at Nederlandse AI Coalitie. Emilia earned a Ph.D. in Integrated Hybrid Vehicle System Design for Commercial Vehicles from Eindhoven University of Technology, with research experiences including a visiting scholarship at the University of Michigan and a graduate project at ASML. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Systems and Control from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Bachelor's degree from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
