Karar Mahmoud

Karar Mahmoud holds several prestigious positions within the IEEE, including Senior Member, Young Professional, and member status, along with serving as the Program Chair for IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2021. Additionally, Karar is a Topical Advisory Panel Member for both the Sensors and Energies Journals at MDPI and serves as the Lead Guest Editor for a special issue on AI-Empowered Reliable Forecasting for Energy Sectors at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Karar holds the position of Associate Professor at Aswan University since June 2016, having progressed from Assistant Lecturer and Assistant Professor roles at the same institution. Previous research experience includes postdoctoral work at Aalto University and a research assistantship at Hiroshima University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aswan University and Hiroshima University, respectively.
